DANCING IN THE LIGHT
This is a nine year old Navajo girl I painted in 1983 in Gallup, New Mexico. To me, her direct gaze reveals the pride and dignity of the Navajo nation. I still specialize in these types of character studies, and this is typical of many of the pieces I produced during my career as an artist.
